PrePA AI is your AI-powered advisor built into PrePA Navigator. It can help with program research, application strategy, and essay feedback.
How to Access
Click PrePA AI in the sidebar, or navigate to /me/ai-chat. This feature is
available to Premium subscribers and uses AI credits from your account balance.
Key Features
Conversation Sidebar
On desktop, a persistent sidebar on the left shows all your conversations. On mobile, tap the menu button to open the conversation list. From here you can:
- Start a New Conversation for a fresh topic
- Switch between past conversations
- Rename a conversation by clicking its title
- Delete a conversation you no longer need
Conversational Interface
Chat with PrePA AI just like you would with a knowledgeable advisor. Ask questions in plain language and get helpful, context-aware responses.
What PrePA AI Can Help With

AI Credits
Each message uses AI credits from your account balance. Your current credit balance is displayed in the chat header. Credits are included with your Premium subscription and reset monthly. If you need more, additional credits can be purchased from your billing settings.
Tips
- Be specific in your questions — "How does my 3.4 GPA compare to Program X's average?" gets better answers than "Is my GPA good enough?"
- Use PrePA AI for essay brainstorming, but always write in your own voice. Admissions committees value authenticity.
- Start a new conversation for each distinct topic to keep things organized.
- Ask follow-up questions to dig deeper into any topic.
