About the program
Overview
Mission statement
The mission of the Presbyterian College Physician Assistant Studies Program is to develop the medical, mental, moral, and physical capacities of each student in preparation for a lifetime of service to patients and those in need. To fulfill this mission, our top priority is fostering an environment that empowers faculty, students, and practitioners to learn, grow, and expand their knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the communities they serve.``
Program features
Presbyterian College’s 24-month Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies features small class sizes with a 13:1 student–faculty ratio, program-specific learning spaces, and expert faculty. Hands-on clinical training and extensive affiliation agreements support diverse rotations, including rural healthcare settings. Located in a rural community, the program prepares graduates to diagnose, treat, prescribe, and make an immediate impact in patient care.
Clinical rotations
The 24‑month program comprises 12 months of didactic learning and 12 months of clinical experiences, featuring seven core 6‑week rotations (Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Psychiatry, Women’s Health) and one elective rotation.
